Saint Ambrose received a significant grant from the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina for its application entitled, Beehive Banquet: Healthy Foods/Healthy Communities Initiative, to renovate the church’s kitchen and sacristy. The grant was publicly announced at the 209th diocesan convention in Winston-Salem on November 22, 2024. The grant is possible from the Mission Proceeds Disbursement of the sale of the Diocesan Office building in downtown Raleigh. Monies from that sale were made available “to support new and existing projects and ministries relating to diocesan mission strategy priorities through grants, matching funds, seeding of projects and revolving loans.” Saint Ambrose is grateful to the diocese for this grant and the investment in the church’s mission.
