On June 5, 2021, the Kemetic Cultural Science and System of Unity (KCSSU) and St. Mathew AME Church honored Mrs. Norma Haywood with the Educator’s Legacy Award for her 39 years as an educator and administrator, as well as her dedication to the teachers and students of Raleigh. The award was accompanied by a proclamation from Raleigh’s Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin. Also included as an honoree was fellow St. Ambrosian, Dr. Robert E. Bridges.

Thank God for Principal Norma Haywood. She was the best educational role model ever! God placed me under her wings and direction when I was a babe in the need of guidance teaching, and mentorship. She instilled in my heart to Love first, EVERY student and their families. A lifetime treasured Lesson ! I am grateful!
