The Rector’s Tenth Anniversary Celebration

Saint Ambrose family and friends gathered to worship God and give thanks for the Reverend Jemonde Taylor serving as rector for ten years on Sunday, September 25, 2022. The preacher and celebrant was the Rev. Dr. Wilberforce Mundia. The Rev. Deacon Velinda Hardy served at the altar. The uplifting worship service featured special music and liturgical dancers. The anniversary committee members presented Father Taylor with a persimmon tree planting, a lightweight stole and chasuble, and Ethiopian Lalibela stole, chasuble, and cope, a Holy Oil stock, and a commissioned Ethiopian Icon of the Holy Family. A banquet followed at Saint Augustine’s University where committee members presented the Taylor family with gifts including a vacation to Williamsburg, VA, yearlong zoo and museum membership, flowers, and a spa day for Kierson.
