Providing a financial pathway to mental health counseling for Black residents of Wake County

1. Who is eligible to apply for Hive for Hope and Healing grant funding?

This grant provides financial support for mental health therapy to Black residents of Wake County, NC, ages 18 years and older, who demonstrate financial need for services.

2. Who can accept Hive for Hope and Healing grant vouchers?

All therapist partners listed on our website accept Hive for Hope and Healing grant vouchers.

3. Which therapy providers can I choose from?

You may choose from any of our therapist partners, pending their availability. They will also offer a consultation to help determine if they are best fit for your mental health therapy needs.

4. Upon completion of the interest form, how long will it take to hear back on whether or not I received funding?

You can expect to hear back from us within about 5–7 business days after submitting your interest form.

5. How many vouchers can a participant receive?

Each Hive for Hope and Healing grant provides up to 10 vouchers per participant, valid through the end of May 2027.

6. How much are each Hive for Hope and Healing voucher worth?

Each voucher is worth $120 for a 50-60 minute individual counseling session. 

Cancellation or no-show to appointments can NOT be covered with Hive for Hope and Healing vouchers.

7. Upon grant recipient approval, what time period do I have to utilize the grant voucher?

All grant vouchers are valid through the end of May 2027.

8. What happens when I use all of my allotted grant vouchers?

Unfortunately, once all grant vouchers have been fully utilized, we are unable to provide additional vouchers. We encourage you to speak with your therapist to explore alternative options and resources for continuing your therapy. Our hope is to sustain and expand the Hive for Hope and Healing through future grant opportunities, ensuring its support continues to grow in the years ahead.
