Día de los Muertos celebration

Saturday, November 1

Join New Hope Collaborative for our first Día de los Muertos celebration on Saturday, November 1, from 4:00–7:00 PM at 1725 N. New Hope Rd. Raleigh, NC 27604! This special celebration honors our loved ones who have passed while celebrating life, Latino culture, and community. For more information, here is a short video explaining Dia de los Muertos, and another video explaining the holiday through the movie Coco.

Enjoy food, crafts, music, games, and connection with local organizations and neighbors in East Raleigh. At 6:00 PM, we will hold a bilingual service of naming and remembering, reflecting on the history of the day and remembering those who remain in our hearts.

We invite nonprofits, churches, community groups, and neighbors to participate by volunteeringhosting a table, or sponsoring/donating to help make this celebration possible. Church Anniversary Service

Sunday, October 19

Saint Ambrose Church Anniversary will take place on Sunday, October 19th with the theme “How Lovely is Your Dwelling Place (Psalm 84:1). Visit all three locations where St. Ambrose worshiped over the past 157 years! We will commemorate 60 years at Darby Street and the 100th anniversary of the Cochran Mass.

  • 9 AM Prayer Service: Meet at Mulino Italian. The Melrose Mill sits where our church once stood from 1868 – 1900.
  • 9:30 AM Prayer Service: Meet at 124 E. Cabarrus St, Raleigh. The church stood there from 1900 – 1964.
  • 10:15 AM Worship Inside at at 813 Darby Street. Luncheon to follow.

Jazz at the Brose Concert

Saturday, November 15

This year’s Jazz and the Brose Concert is Saturday, November 15th from 2:00-4:00 PM featuring the group Thrio, a local popular jazz trio based out of Durham. Tickets are $35 for adults, $25 for elders over 65, and kids under 18 are free. Buy concert tickets here!
